How many times have you woken up with a million thoughts running through your head?
Are you stressed out at work because it’s impossible to make your manager and coworkers happy?
Maybe you go through every day with your mind in its own world, only stopping to notice what is happening when things go wrong?
As a mindfulness expert, this story sounds so familiar! I know from firsthand experience that mindfulness is the KEY to living your life to the fullest. I practice mindfulness every day, and I can tell the difference. I am calmer and more prepared to handle the unexpected. The difficult times don’t go away, but my response to them is more skillful and I recover more quickly.
Learning mindfulness is not easy. Your mind’s natural state is jumping from thought to thought like a monkey jumps from branch to branch, never stopping to notice the present moment. Being mindful and aware of the present takes practice.
I have put this well established mindfulness course online so you can also benefit from the practice of mindfulness.
“I started the mindfulness course to see if it would help me deal with work stress, improve my resilience, and help me to relax. But I came to it with a certain amount of doubt as this was not an approach I had tried before. I am now a convert. The course is helping me meet my original objectives and, I feel, is putting me in a better 'place' overall. I see the benefits of what I am doing and those are also being seen by others. So I heartily recommend it.” James, Diplomat, London
Are you ready to…
- Let go of the clutter in your mind?
- Focus on the task at hand?
- Get the most from your relationships?
- Live your life to the fullest?
When I first started learning mindfulness I was struggling to deal with work stress and health issues. Mindfulness changed my life, and I knew I had to share it with others.
“If I’m honest, I started Anna’s course thinking, how on earth is this going to help me?! I do have a tenacious side of me that pushes me to finish what I start which puts me in good stead but still, I thought… is this going to work for me?
My reservations were soon quashed after the first session. I hadn’t sat down and done something for myself for years. So that was a good start. That coupled with the well-structured and paced design of the course meant I experienced a nice steady change to many elements of my life over the weeks that I did it over.
I am at week 6 now and feeling a remarkable difference in how I conduct myself, my sleep and my general demeanour; all very beneficial to me and the people that I come across in life.
In fact, I think I may do it all over again when I’m finished.” John, Company Director, Sussex
The MBLC course is an eight-session program designed to teach mindfulness with the guidance of a skilled instructor and the benefit of a community of practitioners. The course begins by examining what mindfulness is and builds your practice over a minimum of eight weeks so you can lead a mindfulness-based life. However, the course is self-paced so you can take longer than eight weeks if you choose.
You will receive a personal response from a skilled instructor every time you engage in the discussion forum, so the learning will be your own personal journey. You will also learn from others’ experiences too, and get to feel a part of a mindfulness community learning together.
What You Will Learn
- What mindfulness is
- Different ways to practice mindfulness
- How to practice mindfulness during difficult times
- How to calm the “monkey mind”
“Most of us have to be encouraged to look after ourselves and to spend time meditating. I found that Anna’s course helped me put aside the negative and critical thoughts I had about myself and to become a more positive person. Understanding my own weaknesses and accepting them actually improved my understanding of others. It also helped me to slow down and appreciate everyday life more.” Maggie, Bookeeper, London
