As a compassion expert I have felt like this myself. I know for myself that compassion is transformational in helping you become more accepting of yourself, working and living life in a truly authentic way. I thought I was compassionate to myself and others when I started learning compassion, but I didn't realise just how wrong I was! Now I am more able to live with compassion in my life. I bounce back more quickly, and like myself a lot more!

Compassion is wonderful, and yet it can be so tough! It's a complex and rich skill to master. 'Stuff' comes up that you weren't expecting, and then some more! This process is healing though, and it is the path of personal growth and transformation.

I have put this well established compassion course online so you can also benefit from the practice of compassion.

This course builds on the Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC) - or any other eight week course such as the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) or Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). You need to have completed at least an eight week course in mindfulness to take this one.

Anna Kane

Anna brings years of experience with her personal Mindfulness practice and facilitating organisational assessment, development and training events. As a Chartered Occupational Psychologist for the last 10 years, Anna has experience working with both public, private and third sector organisations across a range of industries.

She completed her Mindfulness Teacher Training at Bangor University and with the Mindfulness Association. She has studied a Post Graduate Diploma in Mindfulness and Compassion with Aberdeen University, and is currently doing a Professional Doctorate at Kingston University. She is exploring the relationship between self-compassion and confidence in the workplace. Anna is also an experienced registered Coaching Psychologist. Her first degree is in Behavioural Science and she also holds a MSc in Occupational and Organisational Psychology.
